Discovering your Archetypes will help you discover why you make the choices you do, why you choose the relationships you do, and why you behave the way you do, among other things.

Archetypes are energy patterns or companions with which we are born, the architects of our lives. Learning about these psychological and emotional patterns can lead us to a greater understanding of our purpose in life.

All humans have four basic Archetypes: the Child, the Victim, the Prostitute, and the Saboteur. The Prostitute, for example, is the part of our psyche that sells out what we really need for financial or emotional security. The lesson of the Prostitute, then is to learn how NOT to sell ourselves, but to hold out for our true self.

Eight other Archetypes, in addition to the four basics listed above, make a total of twelve to complete our Archetypal Wheel. They might include such Archetypes as Queen, Princess, Mother, Judge, Healer, Servant, etc. There are thousands of Archetypes which we all have to some degree, but there are twelve major ones that directly impact our lives.

Why bother to do all this? Knowing your Archetypes and then discovering your Sacred Contract teaches you that all events, both negative and positive, are opportunities for spiritual growth and transformation.
